Hope!

Reflections #2

We speak with the lip, and we dream in the soul,
Of some better and fairer day;
And our days, the meanwhile, to that golden goal
Are gliding and sliding away.
Now the world becomes old, now again it is young,
But "The better" 's forever the word on the tongue.

At the threshold of life hope leads us in--
Hope plays round the mirthful boy;
Though the best of its charms may with youth begin,
Yet for age it reserves its toy.                                by Friedrich von Schiller

I thought that poem may be from "ode to Joy", the only Schiller's work I'm aware of! A fine match for the previous posting. Reflections sums this up nicely.
SAVO: Ode to Joy isa fine piece. This is also his. thanks for dropping by Alan.

I'd never heard of that poem before, but it fits perfectly with the image. I like the sharpness and grain in the image, it gives a silhouette-y feel, the ones you find in HDRs. I can't decide if I like this one more or the previous one smile They're both powerful in their own way. Simple, beautiful stances, but powerful.
SAVO: Im undecided as well Mia. There is strength in simplicity smile
This is a man in deep throat someimg to think about
SAVO: Thanks for the comment Cheryl.

And like Schiller, will you be misunderstood? or ignored? I hope not. Die Jungfrau von Orleans tells of his struggles. I like your pic. mal
SAVO: Indeed Mal. thanks for dropping by smile
Strong silhouette making a great protrait - not sure I read hope in the pose though?
