Kitsch!
SAVO: I have to say thats a probably fair opinion Chris and I would have to agree with you. Its a bit of a 'tourist attraction' as well with people lining up to have their photos taken by the 'memorial'. Well Im sure the spending punters dont mind..

I remember it well! I was..umm.. in bed! I recall the day of the funeral especially becasue we enjoyed a trip on the virtually-empty M6 off om holiday; a rare treat!
SAVO: Yeah I know, the M6 used to be a right nightmare for me.
I've never been to harrods and certainly didn't know this existed. On that day we were celebrating my sons 21st.Birthday.
SAVO: Didnt know as well. Was picking up something there and wondered what the crowd attraction was and saw this..

Ahh, I am SUCH an admirer of Princess Diana... its not even funny. Her demeanor, her work, her words...

It looks like a nice tribute, never been to Harrods, its on my list. Thanks for giving me a sneak preview though smile I know what to go look for now.
SAVO: I think most people loved her simplicity in spite of royalty. Yeah you should see it for what its worth.
I found the mass hysteria at the time disturbing. This sort of tacky memorial doesn't do a lot for me.
SAVO: Lol. It was a bit mental you know. Referring to Chris' comment, different strokes for different folks I guess..
This is unsettling. I like it.
SAVO: thanks for dropping by.

I was at work and the original report said she had been seriously injured and my comment was "What broke a fingernail!"
Couldn't believe the reaction by the masses.
SAVO: Lol Aussie. Mass Hysteria is always fascinating.
whoa! never seen this.
was at home, didn't know what to think at the time
SAVO: Real shocker wasn't it....
Do you know what means when a couple dies together? Means that those two were meant to be together. This way they continue to be together in the afterlife. I remembered this when I saw this pic.
SAVO: You are probably right Delia. very 'Romeo and Juliet-esque..'

I was with my dad (who passed away too) watching CNN so this brings strong memories. Lovely...
