photoblog image On The Spot!

On The Spot!

Reflections #6

my ten seconds of fame
some may call it lame
I'll have and cherish it slow
who knows, I could make time grow

my ten seconds of fame
I dared not dream of same
but now I'm here I know
this is how it feels to glow

many may want my lot
but I'll hold down my spot
its a beautiful, wonderful game
and my ten seconds of fame

Nice idea with this Savo, but I think it might work even better if only the little girl was in colour. Too much selective colouring takes away the impact I feel.
Ingrid
SAVO: I agree Ingrid, but maybe I should have omitted the street sign and one way sign. I actually think I would have lost the impact of the image if the announcer was B+W. Cheers smile
Excellent capture. Great use of the selective colouring!
SAVO: Im glad you like it Richard. Cheers smile

Fabulous selective coloring here, SAVO. Ingrid may be right about how much you used but it does not bother me at all! You've "selected" the bits of the story you want to tell and that's what it's all about. And look how happy it has made the passersby!
SAVO: Glad you like it Ginnie. I did intend this to be a story smile
To Hell with Health and Safety
SAVO: Ha Ha I share your sentiment Martin :p
A great image. The desaturation puts the emphasis on the main "stars". I wonder what the H&S police make of the guy on the railings.
SAVO: They'd probably have a stroke you know tongue
Cheers Alan
What a lovely image and the verse gives it, its finishing touch.
SAVO: Im glad you like it Linda smile
I tend to agree with Anniedog..even so..its a great picture with a story. Nice one Savo.
SAVO: Story time in partial color smile
Cheers Ron

Great... i like this alot! Well captured
SAVO: Im glad you like it Sheun grin
I'm mostly not found of partially desaturated images but here it certainly helps to put the focus on the right elements. I would probably have left a little bit of color in the rest of the image, to make it more subtle.
Besides the colors, it's a great capture! So many surprised faces to look at.
SAVO: I agree with you about leaving a bit of colour in the rest of the image and I'll probably repost that at a latter date. I appreciate your comments however smile
It is a beautiful street scene that you present here, Savo. The heads of some people is interesting and this little girl seems delighted!
The treatment is perfectly well in relief the subject!
Very successful!
Genial el desturado selectivo de la foto. Bonita foto
SAVO: Estoy contento que usted lo quiere. Aclamaciones
