photoblog image Canter Tales

Canter Tales

This is marked as a Historic Building of Kent. The frontage is actually Victorian, it was altered in 1888 when the present facade was brought in from elsewhere. The house may have originally been built in around 1250 for the Rector of St.Alphege.

It is now a rental property and one with a lot of character. I took yesterday's and tomorrow's image from the open window at the top of the building in this image.

These half-timbered structures of England (and some parts of Germany and elsewhere?) totally grab my attention, SAVO. Absolutely fabulous!
SAVO: I know, had me captivated too smile

Victorian or not it really does posses character SAVO
SAVO: You can say that again Chris
You have to hand it to the Victorians grin If they fancied "restoring" something they did whatever took their fancy
SAVO: Ha ha, very nicely put Bill!

It looks very good for Victorian, SAVO. Interesting that the house may be 13th Century

A very cool old building! Terrific image - your lighting and focus really show off the detail!
